Choosing the Connetix tiles set that's right for your family

Before we have a closer look at each set, let's get my recommendations over and done with.

My top three recommended sets are:

1. The Pastel Mega Pack 202 Piece Set
2. The Rainbow Mega Pack 212 Piece Set
3. The Pastel Creative Pack 120 Piece Set

Connetix magnetic tiles are one of the most used toys in our home. We have many sets, and well over a thousand tiles in total.

Let's take a look at each set:

The Mega packs are available in both Pastel and Rainbow tiles. Each set contains a different range of pieces. 

For these sets, either is a great purchase. The major difference is that the pastel set has eight different colours, and the rainbow has six. The pastel set therefore has 16 large squares, and 48 small squares, which are the most useful tiles and what I'd suggest you want the most of. The rainbow set has 12 large squares and 36 small squares. I also like that the pastel set has two different coloured car bases (pink and teal), whereas the rainbow set has two purple.

Connetix also has Creative Packs in both Rainbow and Pastel. The rainbow is one of the original sets of Connetix, with the 120 piece creative pack released with the pastel range.

The 100 Piece Creative Pack was our best seller in 2020 and 2021, but with the addition of the Mega pack, I would suggest it's a much better set as it includes and even number of pieces in every colour. Whereas the 100 piece set does not. 

As the creative pastel set was released later, it did come with tiles in every colour and is subsequently a fantastic set that I recommend often.
